  • Directions

    • Ensure the wood surface is free from any previous top coats or finishes.
    • Mix 3 parts water to 1 part Milk Paint Stain powder. Use a blender or stir by hand until well mixed. The consistency should be thin, similar to water.
    • Apply the Milk Paint Stain to the wood surface using even strokes from end to end for consistency.
    • Allow the stain to completely dry, which typically takes approximately 15 minutes.
    • Optionally, gently sand the surface with 300-grit sandpaper to smooth out any raised wood grain.
    • Proceed with your desired top coat finish. Hemp oil, tung oil, or beeswax are recommended for their natural and food-safe properties. Apply two coats of oil for optimal results. Varnish or urethane can also be used.
